William married Tyley in 1884. She came from a family from Edithmead, from a different family despite the similarity in the name.
They did not have any children and looked after Anne Hawkings after the death of her mother, Annie, by which time. 1901, he was already retired despite living until 1936. Prior to retirement he farmed at Paradise. They then lived in Berrow Road, Burnham.
In 1914 Kelly’s directory he is listed as private resident, St Briac Allandale Road, Burnham.
